I also sell parts of products (e.g. 0.2 l or 0.5 pcs.). How do I go about adjusting the stock accordingly?

With ready2order it is possible for you to sell product parts.

As an example, you can imagine the following:

You don't sell a liter of Coca Cola in your restaurant, but 0.2l or 0.5l of Coke. To track this inventory, you need to use ingredients.

First, you need to activate the components and stock functions. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Preferences.
  2. Click on Features.
  3. Activate the following two options:
    1. Stock
    2. Ingredients

Now you have to create a product group, which we will call Stock in this example. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. In the Products tab, click on Product groups.
  2. Click on the blue + next to Product Groups.
  3. Give it a name, e.g. Stock.
  4. Click Save.

Now you have a new product group called stock.

If you run a restaurant, you can select "side dishes" under the product group. Then the respective stock will not be displayed in the cash register.

Now you create a product (called Coke Stock) - to do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Products.
  2. Click on the blue + next to Products.
  3. Give the product a name, e.g. Coke Stock.
  4. Enable manual pricing.
  5. Select Stock under product group.
  6. Select Standard under Product Type.
  7. Select the desired unit under Unit.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Click on the yellow pencil next to Coke Stock.
  10. Click on the Stock tab.
  11. Enter a corresponding number under inventory.
    1. Optionally enter a minimum and reorder level.
  12. Click Save.

Now create the product of which, for example, 0.2 l is to be sold. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Products.
  2. Click on the blue + next to Products.
  3. Enter a name for the product, in our example Coke.
  4. Select manual pricing.
  5. Select e.g. drinks under product group.
  6. Click on Ingredients.
  7. Activate the Ingredients.
  8. Click Add Ingredient.
  9. Enter a quantity, in this example 0.2l.
  10. Under Browse Products, enter Coke .
  11. Click Save.
