How do I connect my SumUp Air to the ready2order software?

You can connect your new SumUp to the ready2order software straight away. We'll show you how!

Before you start, your SumUp Air should be fully charged. Check the battery level of your SumUp Air by switching it on briefly.

1) Activate the SumUp Air app in the Admin Interface

  1. First log in to the Admin Interface to activate your SumUp Air device.
  2. Click Preferences in the top right corner.
  3. Click on the button called Apps in the sidebar on the right.
  4. Set the SumUp Air controller to green to activate your SumUp Air.

2) Connect your SumUp Air device to ready2order

Now log in to the ready2order POS and make the following settings:

  1. Open the order view and enter an order
  2. Click on Options
  3. Select SumUp from the payment methods
  4. A SumUp window opens in the checkout interface. Log in here with your SumUp login details
    In order for your ready2order POS to connect directly to your SumUp Air, you must accept the following permissions:
    1. Location
      1. This is needed to ensure that SumUp Air is used in the right country and the tax codes are applied correctly
    2. Bluetooth
      1. Your SumUp needs a Bluetooth connection to communicate with your cash register
      Without these permissions, the connection between SumUp and your cash register cannot work.
  5. If there are several SumUp Air devices near you, you must select the correct device. You can find the device number on the back of your SumUp
    If the device you want to connect the SumUp Air to has already been connected to another SumUp Air, we ask that you delete the app and reinstall it. If you use a readyMax, reset the device to factory settings.
  6. Your SumUp Air will now be connected automatically and you can use SumUp as a payment method from now on. The amount does not have to be entered manually but is automatically transferred to the SumUp Air

Your customers then only need to place or insert their debit or credit cards into the SumUp Air to pay! Here we show you how.

You can now cancel or settle the transaction you started to connect your SumUp Air device to your cash register to complete the connection of SumUp.

Good to know

  • After you have set up your SumUp Air for the first time, when you select SumUp as your payment method, you will only see the screen in the last picture
  • Your SumUp login details remain stored on the device for some time and do not need to be re-entered each time
  • It is always helpful if your ready2order app is up to date!
