Perform multiple cash closings on the same day
Previously, when the cash register was reopened or on a new day, the existing Z-Bon was also reopened and the subsequent bookings were added.
Now, every closing of the cash register will generate a dedicated Z-Bon with a new number. However, it is still possible to open and close the cash register several times a day and carry out a daily closing (actually a cash register closing).
If the cash register is opened or closed several times a day, each cash register closing results in a Z-receipt.
However, there is still a daily report which shows all cash register openings of the day. It also states which cash register closings (Z-receipts) the daily report includes.
If you use our cashbook, each transaction results in a separate entry.
Example
On February 3, 2024, the cash register was opened at 9:00 a.m., the daily closing (cash register closing) was carried out for the first time at 11:30 a.m. and thus the Z-Bon 34 was created.
At 12:30 p.m. on the same day, the cash register is opened again, and at 5:00 p.m. another closing is made and Z-Bon 35 is generated.
February 3, 2024 therefore has two Z-receipts, 34 and 35. These are presented together in the daily report of February 3, 2024.
Impact on POS reports
The view you see when you open the “Reports” tile is the “Daily view”. Here, the usual reports are shown summarizing the values of all cash register openings of the day. It shows which Z-receipts are included and whether the cash register is currently open or closed.
In the “Archive” tab, “daily reports” from the past can be displayed again. In addition, “specific reports” such as the “payment type report” can be printed separately for each cash register closing (Z-Bon).
In this article we will explain how to carry out a cash register closing!
