The digital receipt

The digital receipt is currently in the development phase and is therefore currently only available to a small test group. We will inform you as soon as you can also use this function.

With digital receipts, your customers receive their receipts immediately on their smartphone. This saves costs on paper and other printed materials, is environmentally friendly as it conserves resources and avoids waste, and offers convenience as the receipts are permanently readable and available at any time.

In this article we will show you how to make the settings for the digital receipt. There are several ways to use the digital receipt:

  1. set the digital receipt as the default for the action after invoice creation (i.e. the digital receipt by default)
  2. use the digital receipt as standard after invoicing with a specific payment method
  3. to offer the digital receipt only at the request of your customers

When using the digital receipt, you have three options:

  1. show the digital receipt on the display
  2. print the digital receipt (small receipt with QR code)
  3. display and print the digital receipt on the display

Below we explain how you can use these different options.

Set the digital receipt as the default for the post-invoice action

  1. First go to your POS and select Settings .
  2. Go to Ordering .
  3. Under Action after invoice creation, select, depending on your needs, Display digital receipt , Print digital receipt or Display and print digital receipt .

Use the digital receipt as standard after invoicing with a specific payment method

  1. First go to your POS and select Settings .
  2. Go to Payment Methods .
  3. Select the payment method you want to link to the digital receipt.
  4. Scroll down to Action after invoice creation
  5. Use the dropdown to select View Digital Receipt , Print Digital Receipt , or View and Print Digital Receipt .

Offer the digital receipt only on request

Do you not want to offer the digital receipt to every customers , but only when they request it? You can do that very easily too. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Tap the printer icon in the top menu bar. (Once activated, the icon turns into a QR-Code icon)
  1. Select Digital Receipt.
  2. After the invoice has been completed, the desired action is carried out.

What does the digital receipt look like?

As soon as you create an invoice and you have selected the options Display digital receipt or Display and print digital receipt in the action after invoice creation, the QR code appears on the display (on your readyMax on the customer display) for 30 seconds .

As soon as your customer has scanned it, the popup with the QR code disappears automatically.

If your customer still wants a fully printed invoice receipt, you can select Print receipt and a normal paper invoice will be printed.

If your customer would like a printout of the digital receipt (small receipt with QR code), select Print digital receipt . The invoice will be saved in your ready2order system as usual.

The invoice remains stored under the QR code for seven days.

Display the digital receipt on your readyPay terminal

  1. First go to your POS and select Settings .
  2. Go to Ordering .
  3. Activate Show digital receipt on terminal by clicking on the slider (green = active).
