TSE notification obligation
The notification obligation means that companies that use cash register systems or electronic recording systems are obliged to report/submit their company, TSE, and cash register data to the tax authorities. This ensures transparency and traceability of the TSEs used, so that tax authorities can check during company audits whether the legal requirements are being met.
The submission functionality for electronic recording systems will be available from January 1, 2025. This means that if you use a recording system after this date, you must report it.
If you are already operating your recording system(s) before July 1, 2025, you have until July 31, 2025 to report. Electronic recording systems purchased after July 1, 2025 must be reported within one month of purchase.
Notification of the electronic recording system(s)
The type of submission depends on whether you use only one electronic recording system (ready2order) or several electronic recording systems at your place of business/establishment (ready2order and other systems).
- If you only use one electronic recording system at your place of business, you can easily submit the information directly in your ready2order administration interface. This help article explains how this works.
- If you use multiple electronic recording systems at your place of business, you must report them manually in the ELSTER portal. Please note the following information for the manual submission.
Data changes in the electronic recording system(s)
If your company data changes, you must submit the new data to the tax authorities again. The same applies here as for the initial submission.
- If you only use one electronic recording system at your place of business, you can automatically submit the information directly in your ready2order Admin Interface.
- If you use multiple electronic recording systems at your place of business, you must report them manually in the ELSTER portal.
You can find more information about the data changes here.
Deregistration of the electronic recording system(s)
If your subscriptions with ready2order have expired because you canceled them, you must manually deregister in the ELSTER portal no later than one month after the cash register is taken out of service. This deregistration has to be done manually anytime you cancel your subscription, regardless of whether you submitted your data automatically via ready2order or manually via the ELSTER portal. Please note the information in this help article on deregistration.
