Troubleshooting SumUp Air Bluetooth connection issues
If the SumUp Bluetooth connection is not working properly or error message 1001 is displayed, resetting the SumUp Air terminal can help.
- Turn off Bluetooth on the device you have connected your SumUp Air to (e.g. mobile phone, tablet or readyMax)
- If possible (not possible with readyGo and readyMax), close the ready2order app and, if applicable, also the SumUp app
- Make sure the SumUp Air card reader is not charging
- Turn off the SumUp Air card terminal (Hold the power button for about 3 seconds)
- Press and hold the power button again until the message “Release for BT” appears on the display and you hear a beep. Then release the power button
The connection has now been reset. Please wait for a second beep before connecting the card terminal to a device again.
- Now activate Bluetooth again on the device with which you want to connect the SumUp Air card terminal
- Start the ready2order app on this device (if you are using a readyGo or readyMax, restart the app or reboot the device)
- Start a payment with SumUp to reconnect
