How can I enable the automatic DATEV upload

If you work with DATEV, your accounting data must be exported regularly. With automatic upload, you save manual effort, as your data is transferred to DATEV automatically. In this guide, we show you how to enable the automatic DATEV upload and which options are available.

Prerequisite: Activate DATEV integration

Before you can use the automatic upload, the DATEV integration must already be set up.

Note: The automatic upload is only visible if the DATEV integration is active.

Currently, the feature is in a testing phase.

Enable automatic DATEV upload

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Log in to the admin interface.
  2. Click on Settings in the top right corner (gear icon).
  3. In the left sidebar, click on Accounting under Settings.
  4. In the main area, click on Accounting settings.
  5. Click on the on the Configure button next to the "Automatic upload to DATEV" setting to open the configuration
  6. Make sure the automatic upload option is enabled
  7. Select your preferred option from the dropdown menu, Automatic upload to DATEV:
    1. Daily: Your data is uploaded automatically every day after the daily closing.
    2. Monthly: Your data is uploaded automatically once per month after the monthly closing.
  8. Select from the dropdown menu how the uploaded data should be grouped:
    1. Single Invoices: No grouping, where every singular transaction is shown
    2. Grouped by daily cash closing: The data is grouped for every day (Z-Bon)
    3. Grouped by product groups: For the uploaded period, the data will be distinguished by product groups
  9. Choose to always include or exclude the cashbook data (if you use the ready2order cashbook)
  10. Click on Save to set up the automatic accounting export upload to DATEV

The automatic upload is now active, and your data will be transferred to DATEV as configured. Via the Status indicator next to the Configure button, you can quickly see if the automatic upload is active.

Note: To disable the automatic upload, you can configure the automatic upload again and disable the toggle in the modal.

Which upload option is right for you?

Daily: Your data is transferred automatically every day after the daily closing. Ideal if your tax advisor needs up-to-date data regularly.

Monthly: Your data is collected and transferred once per month. Ideal if you handle your accounting on a monthly basis.

Tip: The upload is only performed once the respective day or month has been fully completed. This ensures that only complete data is transferred.
Note: There is no additional check if data has been manually uploaded in the meantime for the automatic upload.
