What settings can I make so that the cash drawer opens automatically when paying in cash?
You can set the cash drawer to open automatically for each payment method. This setting is made in the Admin Interface.
We recommend paying in cash for automatic opening. For all other payment methods, opening the cash drawer is not necessary or possible (such as when paying with readyPay or SumUp).
To make the setting, proceed as follows:
- In the Products tab, click on Payment Methods
- Click on the yellow pencil to edit the desired payment method
- Click on Preferences
- Activate the setting Open cashdrawer
- Click Save
- The cash drawer now opens after each settlement with the desired payment method
